2/20 Snow Forecast
The storm is slower to develop in the area than originally predicted. We are still forecasting over 12-14 inches of accumulation in the Twin Cities Metro area. The snow is just starting to develop over southeast SD into northern IA and north. Snow will start here around 8-9am with up to 1-3 inches by noon. There will be heavy snow this afternoon and evening with many hours of one inch per hour snowfall rates. There should be at least 10-12 inches possible by midnight; with another 2-3” inches likely from midnight to late morning Monday. Northeast winds will increase steadily into the afternoon reaching 20-30mph through out Sunday, creating additional blowing and drifting issues. Reliable is bringing in extra equipment and personnel for this event and we will be on the properties as the snow begins to accumulate, We will service all properties through the day; paying extra attention to locations requiring Sunday service.
We will service all properties overnight Sunday into Monday until the accumulation is completed.
This storm timeframe and the estimated snow totals are changing hourly so I will continue to provide updates as this weather system progresses.
Please call the office at 952-888-0222 with any service requests or questions.
